Rembrandt - My inspiration

This is a freehand painting I made from Rembrandt. I used a photo of the original painting of Rembrandt as a reference, started out with a blank canvas, build up the background and painting the main figure as the last part in many many layers. For the finishing touch I added an impasto texture.
